My name is Amy Bottomly, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in ADHD testing, learning disability testing, and psychoeducational evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. I have more than 17 years of experience in the mental health field, including five years conducting evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults.
I was drawn to assessment because of the clarity it can provide. A thorough evaluation can help a child receive the right support at school, help an adult better understand lifelong challenges, and give families and providers clearer direction about what to do next. Sometimes what looks like ADHD is something else, or there may be multiple factors contributing to the concerns. My goal is to look at the whole picture and provide answers that are both understandable and useful.
I believe a good evaluation should do more than provide a diagnosis or a set of test scores. It should help you understand strengths and challenges, explain what the findings mean in everyday life, and provide practical recommendations for moving forward.
